2001 SCCA CLUB RACING RULE CHANGES

NOTICE: The following cumulative summary of the 2001 SCCA Club Racing rule changes has been compiled for the convenience of the reader. It is NOT an official document. For a specific rule change, reference must be made to the indicated FasTrack, Racing Bulletin or Tech Bulletin. All material contained in this document has been copyrighted by the Sports Car Club of America. PART 1 - GT1

SOURCE STATUS SECTION DESCRIPTION

TB 01-01 Eff 1/1/01 D.1.e.3 Add Airflow Research 210, 215, 220 and
227 to the allowed cylinder head list.

BoD 8/01 Eff 1/1/02** D.7.a.3 Change section to read as follows:
Wheels shall have a maximum width of
twelve (12) inches with any choice of
tires. Thirteen (13) inch maximum
width rear wheels may also be used at a
50 lbs weight penalty.

BoD 8/01 Eff 1/1/02** D.8.a.1.E Change section to read as follows:
Convertible and removable tops and all
attaching hardware shall be removed
from open cars. As of 1/1/2002, all
newly classified convertible models
will be required to compete with a
windshield and hardtop. Convertible
models classified before 1/1/2002 will
be allowed to compete without a
windshield and/or top, regardless of
logbook issue date, unless specified
differently on the vehicle
specification line.

BoD 8/01 Eff 1/1/02** D.8.a.9.B Change section to read as follows:
Ducts may be installed in the side
windows or window openings for the
purpose of supplying cooling air to the
driver and/or differential /
transmission coolers. Air passing
through the differential / transmission
coolers may be exhausted through the
rear license plate frame.

TB 01-01 Eff 1/1/01 D.8.a.11.A Correct section by deleting the third
and fourth sentences and inserting:
Full width bottom shrouding of the
front spoiler / nosebox area (front
undertray) is permitted but must be
flat and can no farther rearward than
the center of the engine harmonic
balancer. The undertray may not be
stepped or curved. The undertray may
be angled in the side view to produce a
maximum height at the trailing edge of
3.25" above the ground. Note this
reflects the current technology in
Trans/Am and GT1.

BoD 8/01 Eff 1/1/02** D.9.a.1 Change section to read as follows: All
standard production seats and seat
backs shall be removed. The driver's
seat shall be replaced with a one-piece
bucket-type race seat. Such seat shall
be installed so that a second seat of
the same dimensions could be
simultaneously fitted to the passenger
side of the car (no center seating).
All seat mounts shall be reinforced per
GCR Section 18.3.5 and Section 18.1.2.
All other seats may be removed.

BoD 8/01 Eff 1/1/02** D.9.a.2 Delete section.

BoD 8/01 Eff 1/1/02** E.1.c Approved Automobile List (GT-1).
Porsche Boxster. Add to Notes: Shall
have windshield and hardtop installed
by 1/1/2003.
